Skin Academy set to turnover £2m in first year

New British skincare brand, Skin Academy, is celebrating after securing over £1.8 million of retail sales in its first year of trading.

Skin Academy’s affordable skincare collection includes moisturisers, gel eye patches and facemasks, along with the recently launched INK’D tattoo aftercare products, and PURE paraben-, colour- and fragrance-free skincare.

The company, which launched in Bury, Greater Manchester in January of this year, predicts sales turnover will reach close to £2 million by the end of 2018. Employing 20 people, Skin Academy has won major national retail contracts with Bodycare, Beauty Outlet, B&M Retail, BOYES, and Semi Chem, with products also available to buy online from Boohoo.com and PrettyLittleThing.

To boost the brand’s market presence further, Skin Academy has recently appointed PR and marketing agency KRPR.

Antony Wagman, CEO of Skin Academy, says: “It has been an incredible year first year for the brand and it's thanks to all the efforts of the team and the time we've spent in developing products which offer high quality skincare at affordable prices. “Skin Academy has seen huge success so far, but we want to build further on this. We have a reputation now for high quality skincare, at affordable prices and we want to grow the brand and develop new products targeted at different clients and different skin types. We are currently investing in a major research and development programme to expand the range further and we'll have a number of new product launches and announcements to make over the coming months.”
